Our Vinyasa Flow classes are lively, energetic, flowing classes synchronizing breath with movement. Build strength, flexibility, and concentration. Cleanse the body and calm the mind. Vinyasa Power Flow classes do not follow a set sequence of postures -- each class is unique and will vary from teacher to teacher. You can always expect a great cardiovascular and strength building workout combined with breath work (pranayama).

These classes are appropriate for active beginners through to advanced students. Modified versions of more challenging postures will always be given. Be sure to work at your own pace, and take breaks whenever you feel the need. Come and be inspired!

9:30 AMAdvancing Your Practice w/ Maria

This class will challenge you to go deeper to explore more advanced postures and work with complex sequencing. This exploration includes the use of props such as bolsters, blankets, blocks, straps, Iyengar-style chairs, and the wall (we make a mess in here!). Variations will be provided no matter what stage of any given pose you are able to work into.

Sometimes we’ll flow, sometimes we'll workshop, and sometimes we’ll hold poses as we strengthen, balance, and focus body and mind. Here is where you will learn the appropriate way for your body to approach your practice - with humour, humility, and curiosity - not with force or ego.

We will focus on specific asanas that will lead up to deepening our practice in various ways such as: back-bending, twists, forward folding, inversions, arm balancing, standing poses, etc. This will culminate in a once-a-month 2.5 hour intensive to weave whichever aspect is the focus of the month together in one class. There's no requirement to have attended any of the Advancing Your Practice classes beforehand if you want to attend the intensive.

Not for beginner students or those with active injuries.

Links traditional Hatha postures into a sequence of movements that flow naturally from one to the next. This eclectic class will explore variations of sun salutations, standing and seated poses, along with body balancing. Modifications will be provided for postures to enhance flexibility, alignment, and strength to make this class accessible for all. Connecting the breath with the movement of the body during the “flow” of yoga and deepening into the “stretch” allows energy to flow and provides relaxation for the busy mind.

Poses you will learn are the same as many of the postures you will experience in flow classes. The pace is slower allowing you to work more on the alignment of each pose, while focusing on the breath. Variations and modifications are given for both easier and more challenging poses. Each class will vary as each teacher brings their own unique style to the class. All levels are accommodated in this class.

Hot Yoga opens the body with breath, perspiration, and effective asana engagement to work every area of the anatomy while calming and focusing the mind.

6:30 PMPilates-Inspired Core Conditioning w/ Kristen

Elements of yoga, Pilates and C.I. Training will be incorporated into this full-body, open-level conditioning class.

The focus of the class is on developing strength and flexibility through the core of the body: back, abdomen, hips and shoulders. Exercises will be presented at multiple levels allowing the student to choose to work at a level appropriate for them. Classes will include seated, laying and balance exercises that integrate the breath with fluid, controlled movement to engage the body and mind.

Each class will incorporate small equipment such as therabands, fitness circles, stability balls and Chi Balls.

6:45 PMYang/Yin Hot Flow w/ Anwar

This class will start with a more active and dynamic Yang practice to energize and strengthen the body. The Yin style of long-held passive poses will open the body to more flexibility and quiet the mind to close your practice. Suitable for all levels.

For students who have a good understanding of asana names and alignment. This class is for students who wish to begin advancing concepts and poses to lead them to the Level II or intermediate level.

Hatha is a general category that includes most yoga styles. It is an old system that includes the practice of asanas (yoga postures) and pranayama (yoga breathing exercises), which help bring peace to the mind and body, preparing the body for deeper spiritual practices such as meditation. Great class for beginners through advanced yogis.

A meditative slow-paced class that explores long, deep stretching to enhance joint mobility and flexibility and by healing the body’s connective tissues. Not recommended for pregnant women.
