If you have no idea what we're talking about, don't worry. Our community of climbers and climbing instructors are here to show you the way...
When I am climbing nothing else matters. My total concentration is on the task. It's fun, demanding, and keeps my monkey-mind at ease. Which usually is a hard thing to be achieved.
Cassia B.
I climb because of the constant challenge of balancing the physical and the mental, and that the outcome is decided only by me. Best I can give you without going on about it for hours on end.
Jody M Professional Route Setter
I climb because it makes me feel like a kid again. I climb because it's the hardest thing I've ever done that was still fun. I climb because it completely clears my mind. I climb because the competition is with myself, not anyone else.
John G. True North Climbing
I climb because going to a 'regular gym,' and pushing a piece of metal with two discs on the end up and down a hundred times doesn't interest me in the least. V3-4s? That interests me.

If you would like to belay for your children, we recommend you take our Intro lesson at your convenience. Once you take the course and become belay-certified, you are free to climb with your kids whenever you like. (A great way to spend a family outing...)
If at any time while at the gym you're not sure of anything - just ask. We're here to help!
Our Learn to Belay lesson includes everything you need to get started and learn to be safe while enjoying the exciting sport of indoor rock climbing.
Our instructors will show you how to inspect and properly put on a climbing harness, how to tie into a rope using a figure-8 climbing knot, and how to safely work a belay device (used to "catch" a climber when they fall and lower them to the ground after they reach the top).
This lesson is also great for parents planning a birthday party for their son or daughter. Learn to work the ropes yourself (while keeping your feet firmly planted on the ground) and have a climbing party whenever you like. You will learn everything you need to know to enjoy the sport with your friends and family without having to put one foot up in the air (unless you want to of course).
Check our prices page for rates and special offers. Please note: You'll be required to take a belay certification test on your next visit to Climber's Rock to be sure you've retained the proper safety procedures. We'll remind you of anything forgotten and allow for a provisional day pass until you're able to complete the test with no assistance.
Click here to book your lesson now through our online scheduler or give us a call (905) 633-7625.
Our Technique Learning Sessions focus on the fundamental skills of climbing that once mastered will help you progress to the next level. Each session is hosted by a Climber's Rock instructor and designed to help climbers build upon the techniques taught in the Learn to Belay class.
Topics will focus on skills that are fundamental to any climb that you will attempt. These will include proper footwork, hand hold selection, balance, center of gravity, body awareness, movement initiation, edging, smearing, and many others. If you are just starting out or looking to shake a bad habit, this is an excellent place to start.
Click here to view current lessons offered and reserve your spot in one of our upcoming lesson times.
Experience social networking the Climber's Rock way. Every weeknight (M-F) from 8 o'clock on, new and experienced climbers alike come out and climb and have a good time.
Pre-requisites: none (just show up). There's always a friendly club member to climb with regardless of your experience. New climbers are always welcome. It's a great way to practice newly learned climbing skills and meet other new climbers.
In order to be considered "belay-certified" at our facility, you must be over the age of 13 and demonstrate your knowledge and performance of the following:
Our certification test is free of charge and once passed you will be entered in our system as belay-certified and are free to use our facility at your own leisure. You must be able to complete the test with zero assistance to pass successfully.
All climbers UNDER THE AGE OF EIGHTEEN (18) must have their PARENT or LEGAL GUARDIAN sign the liability waiver for their first visit.
