Update - Friday Dec. 31st, 2021

Thank you for your patience as we continue to navigate the current COVID/Omicron situation. Based on recent government announcements, we are delaying the start of classes for the winter Academy to mid-January.

We will continue to monitor the situation and keep this page updated and follow up with registered participants with a definitive start date in mid-January. Once started, we will run all classes and extend into following weeks as needed to complete the entire program.

If your child has to miss a class, we will provide a free day pass or equivalent refund for the time missed. Please do not bring your child to Climber's Rock if they are experiencing any signs of illness.

If you wish to cancel your child's registration before classes start, we will provide a full refund.

If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know.

Have a safe and Happy New Year.

The health and safety of our community and staff are of utmost importance. We thank you for your support and understanding.

At this time, experienced youth climbers under the age of 13 who are supervised by their parent(s) are permitted access to designated youth climbing areas only. We are unable to host inexperienced youth climbers at this time.

Please Note: Only fully vaccinated individuals are permitted access to our Main Gym and Boulder Lab. Adults may climb and/or accompany their children in the Alley and/or Youth Lab (when available) with the understanding that unvaccinated youth will be sharing that space.

Established in 2010, our Academy is a developmental climbing program for youth aged 4-17 built around two fundamental benefits of sport: FUN and FITNESS. Whether students continue on as recreational climbers or go on to become world-class competitive athletes, we believe that climbing in any form contributes to happier, healthy living.

Our youth programming is ambitious: we aim to create an environment where kids will be both challenged and rewarded for their hard work. Climbing is about how the body moves and therefore is a foundation sport for all physical activity and sports. Early participation in climbing develops the most fundamental movement skills, physical and motor abilities, mental abilities, social and emotional abilities and performance skills that carry over into all aspects of life.

We give youth the chance to get fit, learn the value of discipline and hard work, and strengthen their mental capacity. No matter what other sports or activities they are involved in, our programs will help them to reach and exceed the goals they have set for themselves.

We are looking for participants who are coachable, respectful, ready to learn, able to maintain a positive attitude, and willing to work to challenge themselves. Our coaches and instructors are selected based on their experiences as both an athlete and a coach. All have diverse backgrounds in a variety of different sports, in addition to climbing, with years of experience developing programs and learning techniques to prepare youth for competitive sports.

The sport of indoor rock climbing is not only fun, but also demanding both mentally and physically. It is a great opportunity for young people to learn the principles that will lead them to success in all that they do.

Team CR is a youth climbing program (18 & under) dedicated to training the next generation of climbers. Our athletes develop the technique, strength, and confidence required for competitive climbing in a fun and rigorous team environment.

Team CR athletes are ultimately encouraged to progress through the levels of our Academy program before joining the team, however, climbers who demonstrate a high level of climbing ability and interest in competition may be invited to join our Competitive Team.

If you’re interested in becoming a member of the Team CR, you can participate in the Competitive Team Training Camp if you have experience competing. For those with no competition experience, you can register for the New Competitors Training Camp.
